日常教学中，我们往往习惯用难度、效度、区分度等量化指标，来评价一套英语试题的优劣，这本身无可非议。然而，但对高中英语教学而言，一套优秀的模拟卷，还应是语言学习的范本、思维发展的阶梯、品格塑造的载体、教学相长的桥梁、视野拓展的窗口和学生自主学习能力提升的催化剂。
语言本身，作为语言测试最本质的载体，其丰富性、地道性、适配性与准确性，是对英语试题最基本也最核心的要求。在昨日推出深圳二模试题提取的语块的语言魅力后，今天让学生做的又一套试题——“武汉四调”，在这一点上又做到了极致 —— 它没有为了 “出题” 而将原汁原味的原文改编成不伦不类，而是以真实的语料、地道的表达、多元的主题，将语言的魅力融入试题的字里行间。
